Has anyone tried going off this nasty drug? I am on day two of weaning down from 300 mgs to 200 mgs daily of Lyrica. Next week I am supposed to go down to just 100 mgs....and the following week should be down to none. My problem is this: I am feeling anxious, easily irritated, have irrational thoughts, and have been driving my poor husband nuts with fits of tears every other hour. I get extremely hot and sweat even while doing mild tasks, its irritating but i could deal with it, to get rid of the pain. recently my sense of smell and taste have gotten very weird i cant be around anything without getting sick to my stomache and or wondering has that always smelt that way. etc.. and i have had an upset stomach through out use of the product

its a strange and unpredictable drug with dire side affects i have to say. i have epilepsy and when i first started it, it made me worse not better. eventually it helped to reduce absences but ten years later and now iv been suffering from a massive increase in tonic-clonic siezures and things like temporary paralysis! that was until i stopped taking it. then i went back to normal. it was deffinately poison for me, even after stabilizing me for ten years, suddenly it just went bad. iv ended... Does not work and I experienced major hair loss as a side effect!! I have lost 50% of my hair in the (6) months I've been forced to use ProAir I've now resorted to using old CFC Albuterol Inhalers that expired in 2007.. they work better then this new inhalers and I'll take my chances using expired medications... beats turning blue from lack of O2 & going bald!
