I have taken Xyzal for about six months and was fine with it; however, decided to stop the dosage about four days ago and noticed that my blood pressure is highly elevated. It's almost as if my body is "acting out" for the drug. Could it be addictive? I have NEVER had elevated blood pressure.

This was the last treatment prescribed after calcium blockers swelled my lower extremities and had ghout after my other treatments. . I felt better with bendroflurazide but after gout which I had been prone to (my first attack at 18 after a glass of port!) My GP would not prescribe again for me. But my blood pressure was down to 135 with benfdrofuazide. Which I would prefer to go back to and put up with the severe pain of GOUT!! What side effects do most people experience from Gelhist and related drugs? The label I saw says: severe dizziness, anxiety, restless feeling, or nervousness fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeats confusion, hallucinations, unusual thoughts or behavior feeling like you might pass out urinating less than usual or not at all easy bruising or bleeding, unusual weakness, fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms increased blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision, trouble concentrating, chest... The pill was effective as a contraceptive, but I did not have a good experience with the side effects of the medication despite this being a "low dose" bcp. However, that being said, everyone has a different experience with different medications especially with the bcp because of people's different reactions to the hormones. I experienced headaches, fatigue, moodiness, and a considerable increase in breast size.
