I've taken Lisinopril for about 12 years. The last year and a half I started to get a "patchy numbness" on the bottom of my feet. I felt that this was most likely due to the addition of Clonidine to my blood pressure Rx's. I told my doctor about this and she then doubled my Clonidine. After that, the numbness got worse and I started to develop a rash around my ankles. It got to a point where I had to insist getting off the Clonidine. After about 30 days of taking aprodine (like with many other allergy meds), my body seems to get use to it and it is not as effective as when I first took the medication...As a result, I often have to change to a different med.

This medication helped a lot because I had surgery in 2002 for Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) and this medication really helped with my emotional well being. I was on the brand name before but recently got switched to the generic and I like it very much.

Tarka is a great drug but I don't recommend buying it. The drug companies are way too proud of it and increase the price to the point that it is not affordable. The greed is sickening. Instead of paying $160 a month just get your doctor to prescribe Trandolapril + Verapamil hydrochloride separately. Two pills but the total cost is around $17 a month. Don't let the drug and insurance companies screw you. Since I've changed to the two separate drugs my blood pressure is still consisten... View full comment

I take iron supplements for my anemia. It helps with the curious bruising I used to get because of the iron deficiency. I don't bruise as easily anymore so I think it's been working.
