When I began to use cymbalta I noticed dizziness, rapid heartbeat, increased bloodpressure, however fibro pain seemed quite improved as well as energy. Difficult to sleep. I deal with long term chronic pain (1980) fibro diagnosis, arthritis, lymphedema & lipidema. I wanted to "believe". Became Zombie like. Memory loss severe as well as cognitive abilities. I felt like I had taken the wrong medicine. I got worse. for about 2 weeks and then for another3-4 weeks of and on I had attacks. the anxiety was the worst I ever had. I really thought I was going mad. Until I finally convinced myself and lots of theropy that it was working. I also have sharp zaps in the head still to this day. I,ve been on it for about 3 months. Lipitor, and perhaps all fat-soluble statins, will go down as the next falidamide. This drug readily crosses the blood brain barrier and wreaks havoc on cognition/memory/mood. As an added bonus, it is now becoming apparent that Lipitor is especially effective at causing systemic mitochondria DNA mutations (See, e.g., UCSD Study - Dr. Golomb).
