Started taking Topamax on vacation to gradually get up to full dose. Went very slowly--got to full dosage at about 4 weeks. I lost weight, but tried to stick with it because the migraines were so bad, but it only reduced them a little bit. At around the 4-5 week mark I was sitting in my living room feeling semi-suicidal and decided I should read the fine print on the side effects. I had a bad stomach bug and the dr, gave me this prescription to stop the abdominal cramping and diarrhea and it worked immediately after taking the first pill. I did get a little bit of blurry vision but not too bad. It also made me a little drowsy but I was taking it with phenergan also so that may be why.

Advil liqui-gels are effective quickly in treating headaches, toothaches, menstrual cramps, etc.They are convenient and safe with little to no side effects (for me). I use it whenever I have pain, and the pain usually subsides within an hour or two and lasts that way for at least 4 hours.
