It was very helpful in stopping the inflammation of my hives. I had to take it for almost a week but it was effective as soon as I was finished with the prescription. My hives were completely gone by the end of the week. The only problem I had with Prednisone was the after taste. It made me dread taking the medicine.

I have been taking this drug on and off for almost 15 years. I have tried all kinds of other similar drugs and I always come back to plain of generic prozac. my Doc tells me that lots of her patients do also...it just works the best and keeps me steady.

Phenergan with codeine was prescribed to me when I had an upper respiratory infection (a cold). I had a very bad cough and bad congestion. I only took it at night because it had a significant drowsiness effect on me. I had to take more than the recommended amount to notice an effect on my cough- and I didn't feel like it was much more effective than over the counter products- except for putting me to sleep. prescribed it at the ER due to pain in the gall bladder. Within 30 minutes, I had severe stomach cramps and pain in my stomach. After getting sick, the stomach pain went away. But the pain in my gall bladder was still there.
