This drug was given to me twice in 24 hrs by IV- I knew the moment it hit my system as I experienced excrutiating pain in my arm muscles and later muscles all around my body felt bruised inside. It was horrible and frightening and I will never go anywhere near this drug again.

The most positive and unanticipated side effect, besides clearing up my strep throat, is that I experience a level of energy that I haven't known for close to 4 years, since the birth of my son. It makes me think that I've had a long-term low level infection for a long time that the azithromycin is clearing up. We'll see what happens once my prescription runs out in a few days!

You need to report the muscle pain, you could get permanent muscle damage with cholesterol meds, I myself would not take it if you have muscle pain, this could indicate that it maybe is starting to damage your muscles and joints. I have tried five different statin drugs like baycol, zorcor and crestor....etc and they make me hurt all over, just got niaspan last night and didn't sleep and woke up lightheaded and had heart palpatations, probably won't take this either!!!! I honestly feel that this med is for someone who has a chemical imbalance , but if mis diognosed you can be in serious problems I usto take it just because my dr said here try this sample ones and i did and it drove me even more crazy with suicidal thoughts now i have a foggy ming and short term memmory problem where i usto be able to suck everything in and I clearly remember that one day taking cymbalta like if someone has turned off a switch in my brain im 33 and cant remember what i ate ye...
