My mom is 82yrs old and has alzheimers. She is in a nursing home and was given Ativan after she fell in the middle of the night. She had a bad reaction to this med in the hospital and wasn't supposed to take it. Now it is 5 days later and her memory is WAY worse. Can this have long term effects?

I take it whenever I need it, sometimes with ibuprofen, and it always helps. Without food though, I get nauseous.

Tried to reduce dosage to 5 mg per week. In a few weeks joint pain increased and stayed more intense until I resumed the regular 7/5 mg per week.

I was pissed when my insurance company pretty much forced me to buy the generic (a 3 month supply of ortho lo is $115 vs.$10 for the generic). Being a student, I can no longer afford the name brand BC I trust! HOWEVER, since being on tri-sprintec lo, I have not had ANY side effects. It's just like being on Ortho tri cyclen lo - minus the cool click pack. It's only been one month so far, but, so far, so good. My advice: try it, it just may not be the end of the world! I am on my third week of taking levora and driving home from the grocery store last night almost immediately my vision went blurred, I was very confused and I had to pull over. I had to have my fiance come and pick me up bc I could not drive. I had a pounding headache and my speech was even effected. It went away after I slept it off, but I will NOT EVER take this medication again!! Its dangerous!
