Once a month I have experienced in both eyes what my eye doctor calls a migraine with aura without any pain. It is like small fans turning in my peripheral vision, but my center vision is clear. This will last 15 to 20 minutes. I am 73 years old and am taking OMEPRAZOLE. Two months ago I stopped taking Omeprazole for six weeks. The vision problem also stopped. When I resumed taking Omeprazole the vision problem returned. Has anyone had a similar problem?

I turned 65 this July 28. Five years ago I had, and used weekly, a fitness club membership. I went Kayaking, camping, fishing, walking, played volleyball, and hosted/attended a variety of writing/poetry venues. I have been taking quasense for over a year and love it!!!! I skip the placebo pills every 3 months and go straight to the reg pills so I do spot a little every few months, but its better than bleeding for days and having all the other symptoms that go along with a crappy period.... My only complaint is that even the generic is expensive! Walmart has sprintec (generic ortho-tricyclen) for $9 and I pay over $100 for quasense every 3 months. Otherwise no negative side effects that I am aware of... View full comment

I have experienced the rare side effect of visual disturbances each time I have taken this drug. The central visual disturbances are now geting too much for me and I am considering quitting taking it. It has taken myself and my GP some time to eliminate my migraines and my other medication, Topamax, from causing these unwanted side effects.
