Ambien is great to get a good nights sleep if you have trouble. It makes me a little groggy the next day but that doesnt last very long. The doctor told me that it isnt good for long term use though because it can be habit forming.

I'VE HAD A WEIGHT PROBLEM FOR A LONG TIME. HOWEVER, RISPERDAL DOES SEEM TO AGGRAVATE THIS. WITHOUT MY RISPERDAL I GET VERY PARANOID AND ANXIOUS. WITH MY RISPERDAL I CAN FUNCTION AND HAVE A SENSE OF PERSPECTIVE AND HUMOR. DRY MOUTH IS PREEETY BAD IN THE NIGHT. ALSO MAY CAUSE STUFFY NOSE ALTHOUGH I AM PROBABLY ALLERGIC TO MANY DIFFERENT SUBSTANCES. KNOWN ARE DUST AND POLLEN. SATISFACTORY GENERICS ARE AVAILABLE. I went off this drug this morning and am looking forward to not bleeding for a month straight at a time (I think of the 3 ½ months i've been on it, i've bled for 2 ½ - 3 months). I certainly won't miss severe mood swings (or crying jags). I have't gained weight - but i've had a tough time loosing it. I wonder how long it will take for my system to get back to "normal".

I feel there is a constant battle going on between my head and my stomach. My head tells me I need more food. When I open the refrigerator or the cupboard my stomach screams out "I can't take any more please help me." I can't seem to figure out when I am legitimately hungry or the drug has taken over my mind.

I take this for headaches, or menstrual cramps, suggested dose 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours. Not always relieves the pain. But i feel normal when i take it.
