This medication along with Prometrium has changed my life. I was a balling maniac. If some one asked how are you doing I would burst into tears. I was having hot flashes that where making me feel like all of a sudden I was thrown into a 500% pizza oven. Now life is good. No more out burst of tear, swollen eyes, of feeling like some one was useing my eye balls for an ice skating rink. THANKS A LOT

Although I had allergic reaction with each infusion, the side effects from the Taxol got better after 7-10 days. I didn't have nausea at all (actually had a very good appetite) except my stomach was queasy for about 7 days after 4th infusion. I had an odd taste in my mouth with excess saliva for a several days after infusions. Very tired but that too improves after 7-10 days. I wasn't told that it could have possible side effects of raising blood pressure and chest pain. Even though I think what I went through may be rare, I think it should be listed on brochure and people should apply topical cream sparingly.

The spotting started the 2nd week of being on it and hasn't stopped. It is driving me crazy. It ranges from light spotting to a light period.

I have been taking Avonex for about 15 years. I credit Avonex for my ability to keep walking and to continue living a fairly normal life, with a family and a 20-hour job. I think I would be in a wheelchair if I never took Avonex.
