I stopped using this because of the side effects. At first it was great. But then I began sleeping longer and longer. I had trouble getting up in the mornings and all I wanted to do all day was go back to bed. We adjusted the dosages which did help a little but not enough.

I felt the Estring was the easiest way to resolve being the 1 in 3 who develop vaginal atrophy post-menopause. But over the course of time, my husband and I have found it necessary to remove it to have satisfying sex and I find it can slip out at unwanted times. Years ago tried Alphagan, but had to stop because of the BAD eye pain it caused. More recently tried it again, to lower eye pressure, but instead it ELEVATED eye pressures by 5 and 7 points!, and it caused a raft of side-effects, including extreme fatigue, irregular heartbeat, hair loss, agitation, redness around eyes, itchiness. Discontinued use after two months.

My 14 year old daughter had the 1st of the 3 on 3/9/2010. She had pain at the injection site which is typical but since has had abdonimal pain and had no menstration. I am not sure if we will continue with the series.

Changing to this synthetic analogue, described to me as "the greatest thing for Type 1 diabetics" by my diabetic team was a decision I now deeply regret. just got put on 50mg but 1/2 a pill in the am and omg i only took this only once and already I know Im not continuing, I cant eat I have diarrhea and i vomited this is bad, I feel like I have the flue I cant function I guess it depends on the person who takes the med but I suggest not to!
