Hey, I am starting to think about the side-effects of Depakine in the long term - the slowdown of brain fucntion, hair-loss, later kidney and liver demage and concentration. I am only 28 now, was 25 at the first episode. And I am really aware of the long-term slowdown of the brain.

From all the medications I took, this is the only one that could help me cure to my flu, and I would recommend it to anybody who has flu. Concerning the side-effects, I think it depends on each individual. For me, I didn't have that much complications.

I have been a parapalagic for the last 23 years. I had a radical prostictimy. Later my PSA increased. Took the Lupron and my life went to hell. I have lost the majority of my muscle strength and having severe memory problems. The lost of strength caused fall during a transfer breaking two bones and creating a pressure sore. I had taken Marax in the mid 70s and as a 16 year old "in charge" of her medication, I probably took more than prescribed and suffered severe anxiety attacks. Sometimes so debilitating, I wanted to jump out of my skin. Then I would crash and thought I was going to die. after the second shot I was walking to the checkout when everything got white and I almost passed out. That has never happened from taking a shot. Not sure if it was the drug or me. I still would not recommend the vaccine, atleast not untill there are some more longitudinal studies on this vaccine.

I started taking Atenolol to stabilize my blood pressure. I have been taking high blood pressure medication for years and this helps to stabilize it with little to no side effects.
