Got me out of severe depressive episode, but still experience afternoon depression sometimes. Don't like side effects either - cold all the time, OCD/paranoia/racing thoughts 2 hours before time for next dosage, extremely drowsy all day if take medicine in morning (have now switched to taking it at night). Because of afternoon depression, am also switching to new antidepressant to take with Geodon.

My doctor recommended Lantus. It is more expensive and less effective than the NPH I was taking. I was on 2 injections per day before Lanus. Now I have to take short acting insulin before each mean and Lantus before bed. I feel like a pin cushion and my blood sugars are no better. Taking the extra insulin has caused weight gain. One time I had a migraine all day long and it was really debilitating. When nighttime came around, I couldn't sleep, so I took some Excedrin PM and the pain went away, and just like that I fell asleep. I didn't even wake up during the night and woke up feeling refreshed.

Everytime I get a headache, I take tylenol after eating a meal. Usually it takes about 3 hours for me to feel Tylenol's effect, in that my headache reduces. But I start feeling drowsy and sleepy, which sometimes prevents me from taking Tylenol on nights I have to stay awake to do work.
