Melatonin

Took melatonin 300 mg for 4 nights. Excellent sleep first 2 nights; Unremarkable sleep 3rd night; vivid dreams and "drugged" feeling 4th night. Strange body odor and taste in mouth. 5th day, strange stomach distention (very mild gas), slight dizziness, grogginess. I have Hashimoto's so perhaps melatonin is contraindicted for daily use. Will continue to use occasionally for insomnia, but not more than 2 nights a week.

I'm a 42 yrs., and suffer from endometriosis. Heavy periods, and extreme cramps and bloating for up to 8 days. I have refused to use BC for approximately 10 yrs. because of all the side effects. I'm very sensative to BC, weight gain, moodiness, anxiety. My pain and discomfort was no longer tolerable, I had to do something. I've been taking the pill since July 26th. My Doctor just removed me off Junel Fe. I had 4 surgeries for SEVERE venous insufficiency a few months ago, and now i have developed a blood clot. i am a former athlete and soccer player and am VERY healthy. i started on this pill to prevent ovarian cysts from re-occuring. The past few years I had developed severe leg pain & migraines and couldn't sleep at night. I used Zicam a lot whenever I started to feel sick, and I think it worked (it can be hard to tell because the cold was only developing, but it never got any worse). Unfortunately, I used the Zicam Q-tips as well and lost some of my sense of smell. Now I do not enjoy food as much because I cannot taste it.

after being on accutane and many many other medications for acne, ampicillin has kept my acne under control for the most part. a negative that i have noticed that i believe to be related to it is that i occassionally have diarrhea.
