I have diabetes, treated with oral and insulin. Also treated for high trigycerides, high cholesterol, and bp. Carving for sugar has increased, gained 10# and all readings have jumped up remarkably since starting this medication. At first it helped the pain in my hands and generalized/overall aching pain. Please don't start Agomelatine with these side-effects in your mind. Wait and see what it does for you. everybody reacts different and it could be the right one for you! I think, if you you have psychosomatic problems that you can definetely "talk" yourself also into not having a benefit from A., because you read a lot of stuff you didn't like to hear and now you fear you might react the same. This medication helped me to get rid of some regular annoying symptoms, such as itching in my vagina aftyer bathing. Flagyl was the best medication for this condition. But I also used samoformine which was very good for private hygiene of the vagina and genital organs. It has a nicely perfume, is very sweet and prevent redness
