I had a urine infection {my own fault not drinking enough } so was very grateful with the speed that flucloxacillin worked. I feel very sure that the skin and nail problems I have now are some kind of side effect from the flucloxacillin though. I had never had anything remotely like this before and it started three days into treatment .

I feel the benefits have out weighed the side effects. I can sty focused, don't get as impatient and am generally calmer. Just wish the effect on sexual arousal wasn't so great.

Three years ago, I began taking Piroxicam for my arthritis. Upon taking it I was unaware of the horrible side effects. The medication helped my pain and i was very satisified, although I now suffer from gum disease, bacterial infection, gum bleeding, and buss filled pockets in my mouth. I've paid over 2000 dollars in dental pills to repair the damage the medication has caused me.

I was prescribed this drug when I had a severe sinus infection and kept vomiting. The drowsiness associated with this medicine was more debilitating to me than the vomiting, so I stopped taking the medicine. I think that they did not need to prescribe me something so strong, and the doctor did not warn me of the side effects I would likely experience.

It's true that the taste is awful, and the bit of numbing is weird! But I have never slept better, and I wake up without any drug effects. I fall asleep about 20 minutes after I take it, so I plan accordingly. I find that it's less "yucky" if I place it under my tongue in such a way that I can make a tight "seal" over it with the rest of my tongue. I've had eczema since I was in the third grade and I had a flare that no lotion or ointment worked on. I was prescribed Prednisolone to treat my eczema and as soon as the next day, my flare began to improve. The downside is you can only use this treatment for a few days but after the week or so that you're on it, lotion and ointments can be used for minor flares.
