I would strongly discourage women with anxiety and/or depression from taking this pill. I've suffered from anxiety and depression for years, which is kept in check by medication, however by week three of my first pack of this pill, I experienced depression so severe that I did nothing but sleep and cry for a week. As if that were bad enough, I went through two weeks of daily panic attacks which sent me to urgent care twice and eventually to a counselor to eliminate them. Please tell your doct... These pills made me feel like I was crazy. I was moody and depressed and impatient. My mood could change from being happy to being sad or angry in an instant. My boyfriend broke up with me because I treated him so badly. After I changed pills we got back together and things are fine. I also got migraines right before I started my period and those stopped after I changed pills.

Prozac is very effective on the condition known as depression no matter how extensive the depression is. However, eventually over time no dosage can create the calming effects that it did before, and you have to find a new anti depressant.

Started taking the medicine for malaria for a deployment to Afghanistan. About three weeks into the regiment, started to have vivid and unique dreams that were often violent in nature. This was a side effect but did not bother me. In fact I enjoyed the dreams a lot. I continued to take mefloquine and eventually stopped after I was back in the states. I never got malaria but my buddy got it and he was taking the same amount I got.

I found that I am very sensitive to sunlight, much more so than with regular Doxycycline, and need to use sunblock. When I first started taking it, I was out in the sun all day and applying 55 sunblock periodically, and the next day started itching where the sunlight had hit. The following days, it became red and then rather scaley.

When I first started Ortho-Tri Cyclen (Lo) I was bed-bound with sickness for two days. For the next year I would have morning sickness for the first week of every pill pack each month. This eventually subsided. I also gained weight, however I lost the weight eventually as well, my breasts remained a full cup size larger though.
