I was put on xyzal 5mg after nothing else worked. After about 1 week I started having visual hallucinations, thankfully they only lasted about 3 days and they weren't that bad . I didn't find anything on the pamphlet inside the box warning about this being a possible side effect.

i have had alot of muscle tension since starting it and very tired constantly yawning and i have a headache every day all day. mood is more calm but can get very irritated of stupid things. working on controlling that! not sure if i like it giving in time to get into my system to see if i really like it.

I have diabetes, treated with oral and insulin. Also treated for high trigycerides, high cholesterol, and bp. Carving for sugar has increased, gained 10# and all readings have jumped up remarkably since starting this medication. At first it helped the pain in my hands and generalized/overall aching pain. Macrobid relieved my symptoms for my UTI ie the burning when I uriniate and pelvic pain however I still had the infection. It only temporarily relieved symptoms and did not get rid of the infection.

I have four buldging discs, arthritis, spinal stenosis and an old vertebral fracture from an accident. I want to avoid surgery at all costs, and have had two epidurals for pain control (also something I want to avoid). I only take this right before bed because I know that it makes me extremely sleepy. When I wake up in the morning though, my allergy symptoms are mostly gone. My nose is cleared out, I can breathe freely, and my eyes don't water. It is worth the sleepy feeling to be able to walk outside without sneezing and sniffling.

I recommend Tylenol because it does a really good job at relieving pain. However, I never abuse of this medication and it should never be taken while consuming alcohol due to the damage it can have on the liver.
