I was told to take this while we were trying to get pregnant. I had to stop taking it because it left a metalic taste in my mouth and I was very nausea. I had a huge appetite while I was taking this also.

I am a clinical-neuropsychologist.I had a touch of arthritis but of late, I am having swelling and pain in my knees and the leg gets stiff. This was prescribed to me in USA but now that I am in India, I need more information before I consult a physician here. Completely cleared up the acne I had on my chest and back. I did have some slight weight gain, but this turned out to be a plus because when I went on a diet my breasts stayed the same size even though I lost fat everywhere else!

My son was diagnosed as Bipolar but was mostly manic and rarely depressed. The doctors started him on Effexor which put him in such a high state of mania that he had to be hospitalized. Yet the doctors kept prescribing this poison. They counteracted it with Seroquel which made him sleep, and Lithium which made him shake so badly he could barely hold onto anything. Years ago tried Alphagan, but had to stop because of the BAD eye pain it caused. More recently tried it again, to lower eye pressure, but instead it ELEVATED eye pressures by 5 and 7 points!, and it caused a raft of side-effects, including extreme fatigue, irregular heartbeat, hair loss, agitation, redness around eyes, itchiness. Discontinued use after two months.

Doctor just kind of prescribed this medication for me after looking at some of my blood work. I am not always sure why I have to take it, hopefully the doctor will take me off it the next time I go in.
