I used this drug in my insulin pump. I have to take a bolus and a recommended amount prescribed by my doctor according to my A1C. In my opinion it is not much different from the insulin I take now. The only reason I changed insulin is because my new insulin was more readily available to my endocrinologist.

I have been suffering from a degenerative joint problem with my spine for about 4 years now. I take vicodin when feeling queezy sounds better than being in pain. Taking it for longer periods (ie... every day for a week) causes me to have itching spells. I prefer percocet but it is harder to get off that stuff. I started using capsaicin cream for my joint pain. Before, I could not raise my knee at all, but now I can. But still, If I do not rub the cream on my knees , I will resent the pain. Another side effect of that medication is that it gives me allergies all around my back.
