I am on day 8 of prevpac for h pylori gastritis. Diarrhea, strange taste in mouth and dry mouth started from day 1, but they did not bother me so much. From day 6 I started stomachache and severe fatigue, tachycardia. I am wondering whether I should stop the med. I learned that in Japan this same combination of medications are prescribed only for 7 days as the standard treatment for h pylori and there is much higher incidence of h pylori infection in Japan. this medicine is good because it stops me from feeling my skipped beats and has stopped my tachacardia but this with the other medicines that I am taking makes me very sleepy and fatigued. I cant make it up until 6:00 without taking a nap and then it is very difficult for me to get up.

I have experienced severe anxiety and depression, coupled with incessant coughing and difficulty breathing. The joint pain has been unbearable. I would wake up at night feeling as though I was being tortured, in too much pain to even turn over. I now take the 25mg dosage on alternate days and that has reduced the side effects to just tolerable. I am very disappointed with Gelnique. Doesn't give me any relief. Will go back to taking Oxybunin Chloride Tablets. They don't work perfectly but much better than Detrol or Toviaz which don't work at all. I have suffered from Urge Incontinence all my life and it is a most frustrating, embarassing condition. And it is $69.00 after my prescription insurance pays. Tablets are much cheaper but more dry mouth and other side effects.
