I was taking it for a few years and I recently stopped taking the medication bc the acid reflux was getting a lot better. Then last week I realized it was coming back again so I just started the medicaiton back up again. Other than that I am very satisfied with the performance of the medication.

Once I started on the Lexapro my suicidal thoughts and feelings of hopelessness were no longer an issue. I loved being able to sleep at nights again. I have had great results with hardly any side effects. The cost is very expensive so I tried other meds hoping to get the same results but other meds were not as successful; prozac did nothing for me...still weepy and depressed. I took Candex for three days, one capsule in the morning with a very large glass of water. I am very sensitive to all kinds of medicine, so I was prepared for the worst. The only thing that seems related in time to the Candex doses was the veins in my hands and fingers dilating (getting really big), making my hands ache and my fingers and palms itch. Medication didn't digest well and as a result was lodged in my esophagus. This caused the lining of my esophagus to burn away and I was unable to eat or drink effectively for approximately 7 days. In addition, it caused me to be hospitalized and caused a great deal of pain.
