The most positive and unanticipated side effect, besides clearing up my strep throat, is that I experience a level of energy that I haven't known for close to 4 years, since the birth of my son. It makes me think that I've had a long-term low level infection for a long time that the azithromycin is clearing up. We'll see what happens once my prescription runs out in a few days!

Takes a while to have an effect, which is rough. But for me, once it did I just felt normal. I don't feel different, "high," "flat," or anything else. I just am not depressed - which is wonderful. It also had the unexpected side effect of greatly reducing my fear of flying.

I got a bacterial infection during my finals week and had over a 103 degree fever and wasn't eating at all. After taking the first dose of the z-pak I felt 100 times better by the next evening and was eating again with no fever

The initial hair loss was much more than I expected - probably half my hair if I judged by the thickness of my ponytail and lasted longer than expected probably 9 months from the start of my taking it. I didn't notice it too much for the first 4-5 months but I was also taking prednisone then. After I stopped the prednisone about 6 months in with the Imuran the hair loss became pronounced. I have been on topamax for about 6 or 7 years now for bad seziures.. I have not had one spell since I have been on it.. I have not had any serious side ffects from thiis.. THe one problem i had was some numbness in my hands and tingling but it would come and go. My doctor is not weaning me off of topamax because I just do not want to be on it anymore no particular reason.. but i would recommend this to other people..
