I took Amoxicillin for an ear infection and I ended up in the hospital for a sever allergic reaction. This antibiotic was too strong for me.

This just doesn't work. I keep it just as a rescue inhaler because I'm seriously asthmatic and take Advair Diskus religiously. When that fails me (occasionally) I've always used albuterol, but now they took my old standby away I'm stuck with this. Frankly, having a cup of coffee works a whole lot better. I marked that it had made my stress level go up because yeah, it's kind of stressful when you CAN'T BREATHE and your rescue inhaler doesn't rescue you.

I am taking Proscar (finasteride) in its non-prescribed use as a hair loss drug. After taking it for 6 months, I have seen an effective stop to my hair loss, and an increase in the density of my hair in the front. New vellous (small/white) hairs are popping up around my scalp, and some of them continue to darken. This effect of Proscar almost (ALMOST) makes up for the side effects: -increased back and shoulder hair growth (embarassing) -marked loss of sex drive -occasional problems maintaini... I have been taking one Advil PM about an hour before bedtime for about 6 months since I have a lot of insomnia. It is just as effective now as it has ever been. I am just not sure about longterm use. I do not take other meds.

Your situation appears similar to mine. I had been taking Avapro (AKA Irbesartan) 150mg 2x daily which was doing the job. Then my drug insurer refused to cover it. Losartan was suggested as an alternative so I began that. I was on 50mg 2x daily which seemed to work; that was in 2012. I moved to a new state in 2012 and changed doctors. Lately my BP has been elevated so I increased my dosage to 150mg 2x daily which didn't help much. I visited my Dr and he said Losartan isn't effective a... View full comment

I was taking Darvocet as a substitute for Vicodin because I was having too much Delirium and Nausea with Vicodin. I have a high tolerance to pain killers and when I was taking Darvocet it had no noticeable effect on the pain. I eventually stopped taking the pills because the small amount of pain relief I received was not worth the nausea and delirium I was getting from the drug.
