Isotretinoin is a nightmare, if you are thinking of taking it DONT! 3 years after go off the drug my bones still creak every time i climb a step, my liver is still recovering and more recently I have been diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. I was 26 when I started the medication; I had lived with acne most of my live but just could not bear it any more as I felt embarrassed going to work or making presentations. I was place on isotreinoin but only stay on it for 3 months before stopping, my ski... View full comment

I started taking Tri Sprintec in 2007, because I went to college and our health center only had generics (I had previously been on Ortho Tri Cyclen for about 3 months prior). I took Tri Sprintec for about 3 years, and was fine, aside from the abysmally low libido. Last month, however, during my last week of active pills in my pack, I almost completely lost my appetite; the very smell of food would make my stomach turn. I also starting having severe anxiety and depression, I was paranoid, and... View full comment

Wow this drug got very bad reviews, but I have been on it for about a month and I still want to have just as much sex, or even more. It's hard to tell if I have side effects because I'm travelling and I'm exhausted, but I do a lot every day. But so far I have not experienced anything unbearable or stands out completely from the medicine. I do have a somewhat increased appetite but that might be from working out more, and I'm maintaining my weight, so that's good. Don't be too afraid of the re... View full comment

I believe I suffered from depression and anxiety for many years before being officaly diagnosed. I finally seeked help when it was affecting my ability to be a good wife and mother. I hoped it would help with my decreased libido but while it did not get worse there was not much of a change. The beginning side effects where a little discouraging but lasted maybe two weeks. I noticed a SIGNIFICANT improvement within those two weeks though. I feel as if I am a different person now. I find joy in... View full comment
