I have experienced the rare side effect of visual disturbances each time I have taken this drug. The central visual disturbances are now geting too much for me and I am considering quitting taking it. It has taken myself and my GP some time to eliminate my migraines and my other medication, Topamax, from causing these unwanted side effects.

In 1984 I was given a single dose (as in One Time Only) of leritine IV push for severe pain and was knocked out for about 4 hours. When I awoke I was legally blind as in almost total darkness; I was later diagnosed with bilateral wet macular degeneration and bilateral neovascularization, the latter of which required laser surgery to arrest its progression. I've been taking Reclipsen for about 3 years now. Nothing drastic to my health has ever occurred. Around the time of my period, I'll typically have pretty tender breasts and drastic mood swings. I've had periods of time with depression and decreased sex drive, but it's difficult to know if it was the pill or just that period of time in my life. I would recommend this to another person but would also remind them that everyone doesn't have the same reaction.

I have just completed my my first pack of Seasonique however around the 4th week of taking them I started bleeding. I am now going into my 2nd week of bleeding and not liking this at all. I am not sure whether I should stop and get my body back on track with normal periods or continue taking the pills in hopes that it will stop the bleeding. I was attracted to Seasonique because of the 4 pds a year but now im not so sure.

I’ve been on seasonique for a year and a half and I have loved the fact that I only get my period 4 times a year. My sex drive has not changed, and I have not had any dryness that others have reported, or moodiness. I’m only insanely moody when I’m on my period, but I’ve always been like that.
