Skelaxin improved my quality of life when I was suffering from acute neck and jaw spasms (following a dislocation). Works quickly to provide relief from painful muscle spasms. While taking Skelaxin in conjunction with an anti-inflammatory, I was basically pain free and able to sleep at night and procede with physical therapy by day. this is the worst drug I have taken and fought with Dr regarding it he does not belive on all the side effects listed with it or how it has effected. They say to report them right away and severe apperntly he does not know the drug.....

I recieved a cortiosone injection in my shoulder yesterday and almost 5 minutes after having it done I had nausea and the worst headache I have ever had. I also was very weak. I tried to work but had to come home and once I did a slept from 2pm - 8pm when I woke up with a 102.1 fever. I took 1000 mg of tylenol and it still didnt break my fever. Lolav, I find that for sleep the alternative therapies work better and with less side effects then the pharmaceutical approach. I suggest you check with a health food store to see what they recommend. Valerian is good and so is just plain old hot milk before bed. There are stronger Ayurvedic or Chinese herbs that you can Google- some are common and some you have to go to India for. The Dr. gave me Atenolol for because I had high blood pressure. Ever since I started taking it i have had tingling in my arms and fingers. My hands also become swollen at night and I can't take off my rings in the morning.
