I started taking Nuvigil because of a serious sleep disorder. The first couple of days on it, I broke out in a rash on my neck and face and developed bad headaches. I also clench my teeth all day everyday. I have sinus problems as well and I am gaining weight. Its been about 45 days now and I am still having those issues but I do not have the rash. Weird episodes where I feel furious for no reason...just descends on me like a migraine. My fatigue is better, maybe? At first, Provigil made a big difference, quickly wore down, and the switch to Nuvigil gave me a bit more energy again. It is doing something stimulating, since I've got much more anxiety and those rage attacks, but I don't know if it's really improving my quality of life or ability to function. After being diagnosed with epilepsy in March 2011 and having extemely painful terrifying focal and generalised grand mal seizures, I didn't want to take potent antiepileptic meds with very serious side effects. Since menopause at age 58, I weighed 135 lb. I quit smoking 2-1/2 years ago and gained 15 lb. Lost that 15 lb. but then was diagnosed with emphysema 6 months after I quit smoking. I was started on Spiriva. Within 6 months I weighed 196 lb. and my A1c started to rise despite no change in diet or exercise. I went on a strict 1200 calorie diet, but couldn't lose. In my opinion I started getting very very dry and itchy skin. I also started having trouble with a bloody nose. Sometimes I feel liike my anxiety was a little worse. These are just my opinions.
