I have been taking Simcor for a few months too. Beginning in April I was awakened from a sound sleep by the itching. My entire body was sunburn red and I thought I was going to claw my skin off. Tried taking a cold shower, benadryl, anti-itch cream and nothing helped. Finally had to go to an Urgent Care Clinic for a shot and prescription. When I initially took Zyrtec, it was pretty good at reducing my hay fever. However, as my body got used to the drug, its effectiveness at reducing my symptoms had diminishing returns down to almost zero. That has, however, been my experience with all similar drugs, and Zyrtec took longer than others to reach that result.

I took codeine very briefly for pain when I was ill with mononucleosis. It gave me severe heartburn, especially while sleeping, so I had to stop taking the drug.
