The doctor told me take aspirin once a day to help thin my blood. So besides the fact that it relieves headaches and pain, I have no side effects from this medication, and I dont know how effective it is because it thins my blood so I dont know much effect it has done.

At this time, I think it is the worst drug I've ever used. I've just had my blood drawn and was found to be overmedicated, which has very serious side effects. I do not feel that my doctor was very concerned and he did not even see me for this. I was seen by the lab and his nurse only for lab tests and vitals. I left the office. Results for my thyroid panel were called to me the same afternoon. I was told to not take any more Levoxyl until Monday (this is Friday) and then take a half tablet.... View full comment

This was a very, very bad experience. I was completely unable to sleep longer than 1 hour at a time. Over the 5 months I was taking this, that sleep loss added up. I was tired all the time, could not eat due to severe nausea, and saw things that were not there (this was confirmed by my husband). I was nervous all the time, and in fact, the only thing that calmed me down was coffee. I could not feel anything and my emotions were totally inappropriate. I think it works but I also can't belive that it does not cause a die off reaction. Even if the toxins aren't released when the yeast die your immune system still has to clean up all the dead yeast bodies. This can cause fatigue and other die-off symptoms. I think it is false advertising that they claim there are no die off symptoms. Perhaps they are less severe than other anti-fungals, but they do exist, in my experience. http://www.enzymestuff.com/rtdieoff.htm

When I was diagnosed with UC in December 09 and was prescribed Asacol and a restricted diet, it took a while to get back on my feet and normal again. I was afraid to start eating again, but slowly starting putting foods back in. There are some I can never eat again, but that's okay. My weight returned and I am stronger and healthier than before. I don't like the "thinning/lossing" hair, but I manage.
