My name is Kylie, I am 19. I had my first Gardasil shot at age 16 on 4/5/07 and have been sick ever since. To start, this is the most painful shot I've ever experienced. I immediately felt nauseous and nearly passed out while walking to the bathroom to vomit. I took vicodin for pain relief after an ACL surgery. It greatly helped with the pain, but it had some negative side effects, such as dizziness and loss of appetite.

I felt the Estring was the easiest way to resolve being the 1 in 3 who develop vaginal atrophy post-menopause. But over the course of time, my husband and I have found it necessary to remove it to have satisfying sex and I find it can slip out at unwanted times. Debbie, no-one knows yet how long Gardasil will last or whether you'll need a booster shot. Because targeting only a few strains could also encourage a replacement disease, Merck might also need to re-formulate the shot periodically. The scary thing is that the first users won't know if and when they're vulnerable again, which makes me wonder what the point is.
