After I started taking Mesalazine together with Decortine ,the condition became better.I finished the therapy and after a few days the colitis has come back,complete remission of the decease. Now the situation is the worst.I am taking 3000 mg mesalazine per day.I have very strong abdominal pain,bloody diarrhea all the time,heartbeat,muscle cramping,gas etc. I am afraid that the Mesalazine does not doing its function and in my case I think that the side effects has been taking in action.

I feel the benefits have out weighed the side effects. I can sty focused, don't get as impatient and am generally calmer. Just wish the effect on sexual arousal wasn't so great.

This is a horrible drug that caused all kinds of side effects and made me miserable for the last 2 years. Started taking it due to gastritis from NSAIDS. Tried Pepcid first but got acid breakthrough after 1 month. Tried 10 mg capsules of Omeprazole, but they had a nasty aftertaste. Bumped up to 20 mg, then 40 mg. Constant bloating and abdominal pains. This was the drug of my choice when I had a SEVERE toothache. I took two at once and a friend, who is a nurse, said that 2 pills are usually enough. After a half hour, I took a third pill, lay down on the couch and fell asleep. I woke up in the middle of the night. I couldn’t feel my toothache, but I also couldn’t feel my legs either. Since I had a very mellow feeling at that time, I went back to sleep and saw a dentist the next day. Vicodin was very effective.

I've taken Solodyn for approx. 45 days. I now have permanent blue/gray tooth discoloration that I am incredibly upset about. My teeth used to be beautiful and now they look like the color of a fish. It was pretty subtle so I didn't notice it right away and when I did I thought maybe it was staining from red wine.
