I told my daughter not to take the shots, it was too new and was unfortable with it and recommended she not have it. When she went for physical the doctor recommened she have it. She said she didn't want it, but it felt like it was being forced a bit, so she took it. She didn't feel well for a couple of weeks afterwards. Got me out of severe depressive episode, but still experience afternoon depression sometimes. Don't like side effects either - cold all the time, OCD/paranoia/racing thoughts 2 hours before time for next dosage, extremely drowsy all day if take medicine in morning (have now switched to taking it at night). Because of afternoon depression, am also switching to new antidepressant to take with Geodon.

I am in your age range and I just started taking it today. The doc started me on 30mg. what was your starting dose and having there been any changes in dosages? Also, have you experienced and lack of libido?

I take iron supplements for my anemia. It helps with the curious bruising I used to get because of the iron deficiency. I don't bruise as easily anymore so I think it's been working.

I have pretty bad anxiety/OCD and Pristiq doesn't really help me with that. Maybe a little, but not much. I don't feel depressed taking it. Noticed my hair is falling out a little faster since I started taking Pristiq, but I'm a guy in his late 20's and it was already an issue, just not to the extent it is now.
