Have been taking Topamax for about 5 years for migraines. At one point I was up to 300 mg/day but am now down to 200 mg/day. This medication has been challenging at times. I have experienced all the typical side effects to varying degrees. The most challenging side effect for me is the speech aphasia that I experience. I've taken a number of anti-depressents and celexa has had the fewest side-effects and works very well. However, lately I have been having trouble with anxiety attacks. They are severe enough to wake me at night and to also keep me home while I am trying to work through them. This is a new experience only in the last year. I will be looking into it.
