I took it for 28 days as a substitute for potassium, I lost one pound per day, it caused me nausea, and pain. I became more light sensitive. It caused me to have pancreatis. Also, it caused my stomach to tie up in knot.

Lipitor caused muscle damage at my shoulders and back and legs (could not tide bike due to muscle cramps) and pain was very severe so my doc switched me to Lipidil

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... Provigil is an effective medicine in fighting the drowsiness associated with narcolopsy. However, it is incredibly expensive. (close to 450$ per month before insurance and still 90$ after insurance every month!)
