Hard to say how it would affect others. Took 18 months to control my anxiety. But it works, and keeps on working. Sadly I have lost passions for films, friends, girlfriends, and sports since taking Sertraline. It does work, but there is a price to pay

It works very well for me. I take it to treat my vitamin D deficiency. Last time I went to doctor, my deficiency had improved. It doesn't waste wonderful, but it works so I take it. I usually drink it with orange juice, instead of water, so that it takes the taste away.

After finding out I had Graves Disease and thyrotoxicosis in January 2010 I was put on carbimazole (think I had symptoms for nearly a year but always put them down to something else, maybe "change of life" etc) After only 6 days I had a severe allergic reaction to the carbimazole that nearly lost me my life! After 2 years it seemed like the Plaquenil was no longer working. My Rheumatologist switched me to Azathioprine but I had an allergic reaction to it. I am now back on Plaquenil and it seems to be working again along with Prednisone.

I've taken a number of anti-depressents and celexa has had the fewest side-effects and works very well. However, lately I have been having trouble with anxiety attacks. They are severe enough to wake me at night and to also keep me home while I am trying to work through them. This is a new experience only in the last year. I will be looking into it.
