For blood pressure-hared to urinate bladder pressure needed catheter to urinate. VERY BAD memory loss, could not think clear of find words to remember places and putting thoughts into words,sweating& hot flashes swollen feet,legs and ankles,blurred vision...may lower BP but not worth the side effects for me I stopped this medication and after 6 weeks effects are less but some still there,still very blurred vision,memory is better, urine has cleared,able to urinate regualr now.

Atenolol

I tried to stay the course for about 3 weeks but loss of energy, nausea and occasional vomiting had me asking my doctor to get me off of Atenolol. I work out at the gym several times a week and noticed, (I wear a heart monitor to gauge my fat-burning and cadio zones), that I could not get above about 85 on my pulse rate when 115-120 was the target easily achieved before Atenolol. Result: I perpetually felt sluggish, morose and knew this drug was NOT for me.

I suffer from Fibromyalgia and a variety of chronic joint and muscle pain. I cannot take anti-inflamatories because I take Coumadin (blood thinner). I was prescribed Percocet after major shoulder surgery and found it was the 'best' pain releif I'd ever gotten for my whole body. I am on a relatively low-dose for chronic pain and yes, I know this is physically addictive. However, quality of life is addictive as well!!!! I have taken this med for nearly 2 years now. It made me a little emotional (ok, crazy) the first month, and gave me cramps at first but after the first pack it all went away. I do occasionally get yeast infections but a couple of days taking probiotics will cure that. I recomend the probiotic Acidophilus, you can get it anywhere and it works great on yeast infections. It is a little expensive but its worth it to me to not have a period every month.

Let me make this short and clear: I was extremely happy on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. Lutera has screwed me over in so many ways. For starters, I have never had a serious acne problem in my life and just three days ago my boyfriend came over and called me pizza face. Secondly, there are absolutely no personality disorders known in my family history however now everyone in my long extended family thinks I am a bipolar b*%&#. I only received the first shot as a 20 year old law school student, and 3 weeks later was diagnosed with severe RA. I now give myself injections of Humira every 2 weeks, take fistfuls of pills, struggle to pay medical bills, and am not feeling like a 23 year old should. I get tired very easily, the humidity causes uncontrolled swelling, and stress will also cause swelling.
