Bactrim wasn't very fast-acting. I recall having to take it over long periods of time. However, in the long run it is surely effective.

Darvocet N 100 was prescribed to me when I broke my foot this summer. I took it as directed but it is a controlled medication and made me very sleepy and I would just fall asleep whenever I took it (so it was good to take at night) But honestly what helped the most with my pain was the Ibuprofen 800 which is an antiinflammatory. My Dr. gave me xyzal. I am an extremely calm, rational person. Within just a few days (3) I started becoming extremely agitated and aggressive so much so that I had what everyone at work thought was a manic attack. Like I was possessed! I yelled at my boss and walked out of my job that I've had for 3 years... View full comment

There are so many different kinds of medications out there. You aren't just going to immediately find the right one for you. It's all about trial and error. Trust me, it's an agrivating process and I've wanted to give up many times (I started trying different meds about 7 months ago) I have confedence that I will find one right for me. The more medications fail, the closer I am to finding the one that won't. I'm currently taking citalopram and so far so good :). It's sucks having depression,... View full comment
