I find the withdrawal symptoms quite severe; a few years ago my doctor wanted to start me on something else but wanted to get me off Effexor first; within 2 days my sleep patterns were very disrupted with vivid dreams and restlessness, by the 4th day my body was shaking - almost spasmodic. I went back on the Effexor, but find that even one missed or delayed dose causes a hightened dream state, my mind starts to race and I don't sleep well at all. I fear going off it, but hate the dependency.

Three separate times, I have overdosed on fluoxetine because I was feeling depressed or anxious. The first time I took a 150% dose, and it just made me feel extremely anxious and weird; I cried a lot. A year later, I took 200% dose, and I barely noticed a difference. The next day I took 300% dose, and I was afraid of what it would do to me, so I threw it up. Don't overdose on this stuff.

One month after quitting smoking I suffered a fairly severe asthma attack and 3 episodes of migraine aura around 11 am daily (always had allergic rhinitis ,classic migraine which for the past 20 years or so no longer includes headache, just aura, and various food additive allergies), followed by a mild stroke causing temporary paresis of right leg from knee to foot. nardil has been good for depression, and great for social anxiety. I thought the major side effects were over with at six monthes, but the fatigue and sexual side effects have recently returned. I have been on 45mg of Nardil for about 21/2 years.

I found that I am very sensitive to sunlight, much more so than with regular Doxycycline, and need to use sunblock. When I first started taking it, I was out in the sun all day and applying 55 sunblock periodically, and the next day started itching where the sunlight had hit. The following days, it became red and then rather scaley.
