Perhaps it is just an effect of being on birth control in general, but with Junel FE my periods are regular (something they had never been), and my cramping is significantly less severe. I have noticed some hormonal changes (ie mood swings, headaches), but equal to or less than other birth control brands I have been on.

I would have thought 3 months is a long enough trial, I don't think therefore that this one is going to work for you... Have you tried anything else? If this is the next in a long list of "things to try" then can I suggest that you go back to your GP and ask for a dermatology referral. There is a drug called Roaccutane ( you may have heard of it) Yes, its strong and Yes, it does have side effects, but it is effective against acne when all else has failed. Three weeks ago I took 500mg per day of Levaquin for five days to treat a sinus condition. I have extreme fatique, shoulder, knee, finger, foot pain, and aches in my back and legs. I did not have this previous to taking this medication. Now, I want to know, how long will this go on. I hope it is not a permanent condition. It is difficult to contnue my normal activities.

I took this drug to treat the shin splints I had from football. I took aspirin while applying and ice pack to my shins. It was effective and the combination eliminated the pain after a one-week period.
