I have been on lithium for 35 yrs. had a breakdown when my identical sister died.I tried twice in that period of time to stop it and I got a mini break down.Iwill never get off it again.But i would like to go down to one because of all these side effects.Of course I will be asking my dr. about it,but I wanted to know if my feelings about these side effects are being aggravated by lithium.

i started taking loseasonique as a method of birth control in january of 2010. i asked my gynecologist about this pill because i wanted a way to reduce the number of periods i would have a year, without IUD implantation. so she gave me two 3-month trials of loseasonique, as she thought that 3 months would not be long enough for my body to fully adjust. i have been on the pills for over 5 months now, and the breakthrough bleeding is just as bad this far in as it was in the beginning. the fi... If there was an alternative non drug, then I would not take it. I have chroic urticaria since I was 17 and have never taken a medical drug since because of this. This has not been taken into account by my doctors at all.

My doctor is switching me to Luvox CR to see if it improves my difficulty with short term memory loss. I have also begun to have a terrible time waking up in the morning. In reading about Luvox it seems that it is effective without the memory loss associated with Cymbalta on occasion. As we lowered the dose from 90mg to 60mg there was not a really signifigant increase in short term memory so switching to Luvox CR is our next option. I went off this drug this morning and am looking forward to not bleeding for a month straight at a time (I think of the 3 ½ months i've been on it, i've bled for 2 ½ - 3 months). I certainly won't miss severe mood swings (or crying jags). I have't gained weight - but i've had a tough time loosing it. I wonder how long it will take for my system to get back to "normal".

For the last month I have notice a big change in my confidence and a little bit in my sight, but I didn't think twice about it. I just figured it was all circumstantial. For example, me being single and the date for my next eye exam coming up. But I didn't have these until I got on Lutera and now I'm wondering if they have something to do with one another? hmmm...
