I took MARAX as a child in 60's, early 70's for asthma. I found it effective, but found it to cause a (to me, scary) side effect my doctor never mentioned: Marax caused me to "see stars" upon rising from sitting position; to the point that this "visual static" (similar to analog TV picture after station goes off the air) made it impossible to see, momentarily, upon rising. I recieved a cortiosone injection in my shoulder yesterday and almost 5 minutes after having it done I had nausea and the worst headache I have ever had. I also was very weak. I tried to work but had to come home and once I did a slept from 2pm - 8pm when I woke up with a 102.1 fever. I took 1000 mg of tylenol and it still didnt break my fever. This was by far the worst experience of my life. I had taken other BC pills off and on since I was a teen and even though some were slightly bothersome, they were tolerable - I am now 35 and can't believe how awful this particular pill was. I was prescribed Hydrocodone for my Gallstones. I rarely noticed any side effects. Sometimes I became dizzy, however the pain relief was amazing.

Nexium has helped take away my acid reflux. If I don't take it for a few days, I have really bad acid and heartburn. My acid is really, really bad, and I have tried many different medications and none, except for Nexium, have worked. It is the only one that has also taken away my stomach pains. I would recommend it for everyone.
