I have not found this medicine very satisfying and infact with the high-risks attached to it, with all its drawbacks, such as the persistent coughing, weight loss, headaches, joint & muscle pain, I am truly concerned as to what the devil is the "up- side" to this supposed RA disigner drug after all is said & done. I have been on topamax for about 6 or 7 years now for bad seziures.. I have not had one spell since I have been on it.. I have not had any serious side ffects from thiis.. THe one problem i had was some numbness in my hands and tingling but it would come and go. My doctor is not weaning me off of topamax because I just do not want to be on it anymore no particular reason.. but i would recommend this to other people..

I have unexplained muscle/joint pain. The pain starts late in the day and becomes debilitating. High doses of motrin helps. Sometimes I have residual pain in the joint the next day. The pain has affected areas from my jaw to my feet. Any suggestions?

For the first year that I was taking Yaz it was great - regular and much lighter periods, zero cramps, zero PMS. It was really wonderful considering I used to have very heavy and irregular periods, extremely horrible cramps, and pretty bad PMS (irritability, mood changes, bloating, fatigue, appetite increase, etc.).
