I had many of the side effects listed for Advair. They started slowly until the 26 day I developed a painful red swollen tonsil...I couldn't swallow without pain. My voice was hoarse, I had feverish chills, parts of my body became numb and I was tired all the time. I started getting frequent outbreaks of herpes/shingles on my sacrum which continued weeks after use. Shortly after starting a short course of this medication I starting having irregular (skipped) heartbeats upon light exertion. It took me two weeks to put two and two together and I have now stopped the medication. I have had irregular heartbeats in the past but they had not bothered me for several years. Also, I have experienced difficulty sleeping including trouble getting to sleep and/or mid night wakefulness. Recently I have experienced diarrhea. This drug does not seem to be worth us... I think that lexapro is great for anxiety, they only two downfalls is it takes a while to build up in your system and begin to work and it costs a lot of money even if your insurance covers a portion of it.

A lot of random side effects that one taking prednisone should look into. Weight gain and an increase in appetite is a major one. My weight really fluxuate while on prednisone and due to severe asthma I can not regullarly excercise to keep the weight off.

With any antibiotic, it's good to stick with the recommended dosage and duration of treatment. Although I felt better in a few days, failure to take the pills until the end of the noted time caused the pain to return--that's how bacterial resistance develops!
