I would suggest asking for ANY alternative before taking this drug. I was switched to another one with no better/worse help but none of the foggy head, lethary, and weight gain. 30 pounds in two months could be dangerous for some people.

It got me out of a severe depressive episode, for which I am grateful. However, I still experience bouts of depression, often in the afternoon. So it is likely not a long term solution for me. I have been on this medication since March 2010. I am now on 125 mcg and feel fantastic. This drug has really helped me to lose weight, my beautiful thick hair to come back and I am no longer tired when waking and feel like I have slept.

The whole process starts with getting rid of toxins, both external factors such as smoking and looking at the "gut" and any dysbiosis that may be in itself producing endotoxins from poor digestion and poor elimination. I like Ibuprofen because it's very gentle to my stomach, I don't have any side effects, I used to take tylenol or advil, and since I am very sensitive to medicine, I always got a urine infection after taking any of these two pain relieve medicines.
