My mother was prescribed (and given samples) of this the first of this month (October 2009) and has been hallucinating and thinking she has not been at home.

I take it for uti pain, but I have to weigh my options because I will have neaseau and severe stomach pain that fades to my lower back for about 5 minutes about 25 minutes after taking the medication. If my uti is causing extreme pain then i take it for relief but I suffer from these side effects shortly after. The pain ceases and the medication seems to go through my system quickly after that and my urine turns orange and i get relief at that time about 80% of the time. Sometimes for some s... anybody taking Xyzal should really think about taking it. This medication was so bad for me I wish they would take it off the market. I reported it to the FDA with very very bad hallucinations, and now I am seeing a phychiarist who gave me zoloft because I was afraid to go to sleep. I even ran outside my home and into the street because I thought my house was on fire when it really wasan't . I even contacted the manufacturer telling them how bad this medication was.

Works well once it starts working, however, it does take a while to start working. Does not upset my stomach like other pain relievers and anti-inflammatories. Also, the small pill size of the 200ml is nice and easy to swallow.

Medrol has been the one prescription that seems to help right away. The up side to this drug is it takes away the pain the inflammation makes and gives me energy. The down side is the potential side effects can be very bad.

I would get off of these drugs and go for acupuncture and herbal treatments. It's not worth the side effects. When I took lisinopril for 3 months, I felt like I had the flu the entire time. My BP was only high at the PCP's office because they always managed to tick me off before I got in to see the Dr, then had to wait an hour or more. I showed the Dr the list I kept of my BP when I took it when I wasn't there and it was usually around 100/60-120/70.....I don't think I ever needed this to b... View full comment
