Tylenol is currently a monopoly drug that is commonly used for reducing fevers safely. So far, when I was hospitalized for high fevers, they gave me tylenol. Afterwards, there were no other medications that they can give to me to reduce my still raging fever besides packing me with ice.

I had catheter ablation and was put on dronedarone for possible atrial fibrillation. I had atr-frib and a flutter, both repaired?. I have had a runny nose to some extent, severe itching in the groin and stomach areas with other itching on my sides, back and chest. Worse, I have experienced a lot of shortness of breath and wheezing when I exert even just a little bit. I was prescribed dexamethasone for severe inflammation in my tonsils when I had mononucleosis. I was unable to swallow and had difficulty breathing due to my enlarged tonsils, but the dexamethosone improved the swelling significantly very quickly. It made me very hungry, but I had also lost a lot of weight from my illness, so this side effect was not bad for me. I had dark circles under my eyes and difficulty concentrating while I was on the drug. I was on a low dose dexamethosone for abo... View full comment

I love the medication because it gives me the energy to get through my day. Without it I would be on the couch for most of the day with no desire to get up and do anything.
