Ortho-tricyclen has prevented pregnancy. However, part of the reason I started taking it was to clear up acne and regulate my menstrual cycle. I still have mild acne, and I still have slightly irregular periods.

This medication has been VERY effective in diminishing my stone frequency. I have not been in significant pain since i started the prescription, so I have been very pleased. I have been on it for over a month now, and I am still having the stomach problems that I had in the beginning, but now I notice that I am bruising easily, often, and quite severely. Excedrin is awesome. Much better than Motrin or aspirin. I took it after my dog kicked me in the eye(funny huh), the kick broke a giant blood vessel in my eyelid and was bleeding like crazy but Excedrin prevented the black eye so I'm pretty happy about it.
