I had a urine infection {my own fault not drinking enough } so was very grateful with the speed that flucloxacillin worked. I feel very sure that the skin and nail problems I have now are some kind of side effect from the flucloxacillin though. I had never had anything remotely like this before and it started three days into treatment .

I am into my 5th day with one more tablet to take yet I still have a low grade fever this morning.. Very disappointed but my family doctor said it would take several days. I did see a nurse practitioner at a Kroger "Little Clinic" and she felt I had possible pneumonia. I saw an ENT the next afternoon and they could not hear the crackling in my lung but I had taken the 2 tablets the evening before of the Z-Pak. Fever has continued on this third morning since.

**** keep in mind that I have a pretty strong anxiety disorder, femcon has exasperated it but in no way cause it. my stats: taking it for three weeks to help with my acne, 27 years old, good health, was on orthricycline low 3 years ago without any problems. I would have thought 3 months is a long enough trial, I don't think therefore that this one is going to work for you... Have you tried anything else? If this is the next in a long list of "things to try" then can I suggest that you go back to your GP and ask for a dermatology referral. There is a drug called Roaccutane ( you may have heard of it) Yes, its strong and Yes, it does have side effects, but it is effective against acne when all else has failed. Over a year ago (9/2008) I fell very badly on concrete, with my left leg bent underneath me. If you can get the migraine early, it works like a charm. Catch it a little too late (sometimes I'm not quite sure if it's sinus or migraine..) and my life will at least be bearable for the 3 days I would have formerly been flat on my back with ice packs on my head. Depending upon the headache, I've used pills, nasal spray, injections.
